Cut and Dried And To The Point
Mid 20th century look at the economic aspects of the far west, with adequate address of the physical geography that drove much of it. Now that the money's been made, today its biggest export is liberals and marijuana. Good film.

Mining! Mackerel! Milk! Movies!
Straightforward ERPI film about the various products and natural resources we get from the states of California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. This is not quite as dry as the typical ERPI film, since it goes over lots of resources, agricultural products, and industries, and has a few striking visuals. But itâs an ERPI film all the same, which means it wonât have you on the edge of your seat. The film probably served its purpose in geography class, though.
Ratings: Camp/Humor Value: *. Weirdness: **. Historical Interest: ****. Overall Rating: ***.

Yet...
In the first 1/3 of this film, I was going into conniptions of the narrators' use of the word 'yet'. After he figured he better leave that word alone, the film seagues into a pretty dry explanation of what the Western states offers us (loks of trees and minerals) and other dry material. Pretty standard stuff.
